Department of Geography:
The Department of Geography established in 2006 aims to prepare its students with the capacity to analyse the various topics of the discipline, along with the encouragement to go ahead with confidence in various fields of employment related to the subject and allied disciplines. The department's teachers are committed to their profession, and our department's greatest strength is the positive relationships we have with our students. These relationships help students become more interested in attending regular lessons and achieving higher outcomes. The Department of Geography also organises a variety of extracurricular activities like seminars, invited lectures, awareness programmes, magazine publication, etc. in addition to the regular academic activities based on the syllabus. Presently, 3-year honours and general degree (under CBCS system) courses are offered to students on the basis of merit-based entry. Our students are employed in various government and private organisations, which also encourage students to join our department. The Department of Geography established in 2006 aims to prepare its students with the capacity to analyse the various topics of the discipline, along with the encouragement to go ahead with confidence in various fields of employment related to the subject and allied disciplines.
